Dimitra Barkouta

Dimitra is a physicist with postgraduate studies in Renewable Energy Technology (RES). For the last 15 years she has been working in the field of Renewable Energy Sources, especially in relation to wind energy, RES legislation and the integration of RES at the local level. For the last 2 years she has been working at the Center for Renewable Energy Sources, participating in research projects related to the dissemination and implementation of RES at the Greek and European level, wind energy and related legislation. At the same time, she is preparing her doctoral dissertation at the Department of History and Philosophy of Science of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, with Professor Mr. Arapostathis. The subject of her dissertation is the entanglement of science, technology and legislation as reflected in the Environmental Impact Studies of contested wind farms in Greece.
