Sotiris Alexakis
Sotiris holds a diploma in Agricultural Science from Agricultural University of Athens. After his graduation, he pursued postgraduate studies in the two-year inter-university MSc Program “History and Philosophy of Science and Technology” in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and National Technical University of Athens. Since 2018, he has been a PhD candidate in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the department of History and Philosophy of Science. His dissertation aspires to connect the History of Science and the Science and Technology Studies (STS) with Agricultural History. His PhD research was selected for a scholarship by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (2019). His research interests focus on technoscientific networks and agricultural policies in Greece from interwar to postwar period. Since 2020, his research has been integrated into a 3-year funded project that investigates the configuring of environment and food in the agri-food sector in Greece.
